|
|
Please use this forum as a meeting place to discuss anything related to the SoapBox project in Iringa, Tanzania.
We feel this is a great way to get to know others who are participating in this project in 2006 and to draw from the experience of those who have already been previously.
We would expect some participation here from our Project Partners in the Diocese of Ruaha but their access to the Internet may not be as readily available as ours.

Hi Linda,
Great to hear you've applied.
We will be encouraging others to use the forum more as the year progresses. Right now it's a little slow.
Warm regards,

Hello. I have been accepted on this Tanzania trip in the summer, and I am very excited about it. I am a college student, so this will be my first trip away without my parents and I am looking forward to experiencing a new and different culture. I have always wanted to go to Africa, and what better way than going with a Christian organisation, to do some ministry! Tell me a bit about yourself Linda. Would love to hear more.

Hi
I too am now accepted on the project - but come from the other end of the spectrum from you Pippa - am a 40 something year old lecturer at a landbased college and am looking forward to escaping my own children!
I look forward to meeting you. What are you studying?
I visited Tanzania in 2001 as tourist with a group of animal care students and decided whist there I wanted to return to do something more constructive.

I am studying 3 A-Levels at the moment in English Language, Human Biology and Psychology, planning to go to Sheffield univeristy in September to do a Speech therapy degree.
Where abouts are you from Linda? Have you started getting injections and vaccines because I havent been told much about it yet, I am not sure if I should book an appointment with the nurse. Nice to hear from you Linda, will look forward to meeting you. |

Hi Pippa,
Look under the message Vaccines that you posted. I have pasted the imunisation advice from the Participants Info there. The Info packs will be going out as soon as the flight details have been finalised.
Warm regards,

Hi Linda and Pippa,
You're certainly not going on your own!
The Tanzania team spaces are now filled, as Kathy has mentioned in the Vaccines thread, you now have a full team of 15.
Warm regards,
John
